Adult Skull Fairy Costume

The Origins of the Fairy
The history of the fairy can be traced back to the myths and folk stories about their existence, which spread far and wide. There is evidence claiming that they were anything from spirits of the dead to a superior intelligent species, and even believed by some to be a form of demoted angels.
A particular story says that when angels rebelled in heaven, God would order the gates shut; the ones still in heaven remained angels, the ones in hell became devils, and the ones caught in between would turn into a fairy. Another twist on the story is that the fairies were angels that were kicked out of heaven for not being good enough, but stayed on Earth since they were not evil enough for hell.
An additional belief about fairies is that they were evil entirely. A popular theory in the era of Puritanism supported the idea that these household spirits who were once believed to be friendly were actually demons. People who were known to deal with a fairy were considered to be practicers of witchcraft and punished accordingly. There are many disputes about the background of fairies, none of which may be true but all are interesting to think about.
